PLEASE ALLOW FOR SOME LOADING TIME I didn't set up a proper loading screen so expect a bit of gray slate at start

I dabbled around some times ago with the idea of Qix, a game where you go around tracing closed lines on a blank surface to reveal the undelying image. I could image it being kind of a revolutionary concept at the time and a technical feat to booth.

Today, it's only a nice opportunity to impose a twist on it, projecting the once flat play field on a rounder shape with some nice shading. The original series went on to spawn some "sexy" clones to keep gamers interested, my remake will for now stop short of it ;)

Play with WASD or touch controls (you'll find a basic touch pad in the bottom right), and drive your "drawing point" around. The goal is to "reveal" a percentage of the surface without running out of time. A poor design choiche put these infos on the back of the sphere, so you'll have to drag around with mouse or touch to view them.

Enemies can bother you only when drawing new lines and can do no more than setting you back a bit.

In-game interface is minimal at best, when I'll be able to, I'll be back to polish and add some more mechanics like a life count and a boss enemy.

Hey, I was playing this game after looking for versions of Qix. The sphere surface was a lot of fun. I wanted to mention that I noticed that hitting 'x' ends the game. I am not sure if that is intentional, but I accidently hit it when using the controls.

Oh... I forgot to take it out, it was for testing purposes :D

Thanks for playing the game, quix it's something I get back from time to time as a simple concept to build on, for fun (working right now on a version where you tilt and turn the phone to direct the player). Glad you liked the spherical one!
