Completed a game, and it's a Text Adventure!

A complete game, finally!

This is the product for the second jam I really tried to bring to an end, and this time with a project that can be considered complete. The genre is as far as it can be from my first experience (a 3D space shooter for the 2020 Moonshot Jam), but that meant I had the opportunity to write an "engine" from scratch. The TALP jam page points out the interesting (and surely better) Adventuron as a ready made tool, but the coding challenge was the catch for me, as have a really short record as a text adventure player.

The TALP jam aims at expanding the genre awarness among young gamers, and at first I felt it to be a chimeric enterprise. Working on it though I grow enticed with the storytelling, the medium's peculiar limitations and the opportunity to rework a old fairy tale. Designing the languange, the scenarios, the graphics (along whit the other, non-coding half of ElefantinoDesign's team) was as expressive as any artistic medium can be.

Not to say that this product is really art, of course! Is a silly, mall game that was fun to code and draw and design: let's hope it can bring a bit of that fun around.
